DUI NON-ADJUDICATION FOR FIRST TIME OFFENDERS

In Mississippi, a 1st time DUI offender may avoid a conviction by completing a program of DUI non-adjudication. If the person pleads guilty, the court withholds adjudication of guilt and imposes certain conditions that, if completed, will result in the DUI being dismissed. Conditions include payment of a fine, $250 non-adjudication fee, installation of an ignition interlock device, as well as other court-imposed requirements.
